Read-only by design
It can read your company and do nothing else. There is no edit screen, no import, no delete — not hidden away, simply not built. Hand the numbers to whoever needs them without handing over your books.
Nothing is opened on your Tally PC
A small connector on the Tally machine sends snapshots out. Nothing on that machine waits for the internet, no port is opened on your router and you need no fixed IP — which is why it works on a shop PC or on rented Tally hosting.
No TDL, no changes
It talks to the gateway inside Tally Prime itself. Your company file, your vouchers and your masters are untouched, and switching it off leaves nothing behind.
As fresh as the last send
Tally cannot tell anyone when a voucher is saved, so the connector sends a fresh snapshot on its own schedule. The app always shows you when the figures were last updated — you never read a stale number without knowing it is stale.
One double-click, then it is on your phone
The connector is a single Windows program: double-click it, paste your key once, and it keeps sending. On the phone, open the link and add it to the home screen — no app store, no install.

Asked and answered.
Can anyone change my books from the phone?
No. The app has no way to write to Tally at all. It reads, it displays, and that is the end of what it can do.
Do I have to open a port on my router?
No — and you should not. The connector on the Tally machine only makes outbound calls, which is what lets it work behind an ordinary home or shop router with no fixed IP.
Does it need a TDL?
No. It uses the XML gateway that is already part of Tally Prime. You switch that on in Tally's own settings; nothing is loaded into your company.
Is it live to the second?
No, and we will not claim it is. Tally has no way to announce a saved voucher, so the connector sends a fresh snapshot on a schedule. Every screen tells you exactly when it was last updated.
My Tally runs on a rented cloud/RDP server. Will it work?
That is exactly the case it was built for — as long as you are allowed to run a program on that server. Some hosted Tally providers block running any program of your own; if yours does, the connector cannot be installed there.
